Two injured in crash at Cox Mill and Bypass

Two people were injured in an accident Tuesday at Cox Mill Road and the Eagle Way Bypass.

A collision report from Hopkinsville police says 60-year old Earl Compton of Cadiz was westbound on Eagle Way and ran the red light at Cox Mill, colliding with a southbound automobile operated by 69-year old William Jones of Hopkinsville.

Jones’ passenger, 63-year old Yvonne Jones of Hopkinsville, was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of back and shoulder pain.

William Jones complained of back pain, but declined a trip to the hospital, and Compton was not injured.
