Grand jury returns indictments for sexual abuse

A Christian County Grand Jury returned indictments for sexual abuse Friday against two Hopkinsville men.

Indicted for six counts of first-degree sexual abuse against a child under the age of 12 is 43-year old Dominique Saxton of Hopkinsville.  He allegedly admitted in a videotaped statement that he subjected a seven-year old female victim to sexual contact on approximately six separate incidents between February and April of 2021.

Also indicted for first-degree sexual abuse is 19-year old Xavier Smith of Hopkinsville.  He is alleged to have subjected a female victim who was running on the rail trail to sexual contact by reportedly grabbing her from behind in her private areas.
