Ky. adds 440 new COVID cases, 19 deaths

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear reported 440 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, and the positivity rate continues to drop in the state. The positivity rate is now at 2.40 percent—there are currently 349 Kentuckians in the hospital with COVID-19, 119 in the ICU and 50 on a ventilator.  The governor also reported 19 new COVID-19 related deaths, three of which were identified in the ongoing audit of the state reporting system.  […]

Attorneys to talk possible deal in Brafman case

A special prosecutor and the attorney for attempted murder suspect Karen Brafman will try to resolve her case before her scheduled October trial. Trial date set for three day care child abuse suspects

A trial date was set Wednesday morning for three of the four women charged in connection with alleged child abuse at the First United Methodist Church daycare. Janet Bravard, who has been a staple at the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville for almost 30 years, is retiring. Catalytic converter stolen off Animal Shelter van

The catalytic converter was stolen off a Christian County Animal Shelter van. Suspects removed the part from the 2014 Ford utility van sometime between Sunday morning and Tuesday morning at the shelter on Russellville Road, according to the felony theft report filed with the Hopkinsville Police Department.
