Kentucky State Police have released details on a head-on collision from Wednesday afternoon on the US 68 Lake Barkley Bridge in Trigg County that killed one person and injured two others.
A news release says a van driven by 64-year old John Smith of Clarksville was headed east in the westbound lanes and collided head-on with a westbound pickup operated by 20-year old Andrew Amsden of Cadiz.
Smith was pronounced dead at the scene by the Trigg County Coroner’s Office.
Amsden and his passenger were taken by EMS to Trigg County Hospital for minor injuries.
The Trigg County Sheriff’s Office and Rescue Squad assisted at the scene.
