Madisonville receives grant funds for walking trail

Madisonville is one of 12 Kentucky communities receiving funding from the Recreational Trails Program.

The Department for Local Government Madisonville will use $20,000 in grant money on a paved walking trail around the perimeter of Cherry Park.

A news release says the City of Morganfield will use just over $21,000 to construct a walking trail at Dunbar Park that includes benches, flowering trees and trash receptacles.
