Traffic on I-24 Tennessee River bridge to be restricted beginning Tuesday

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to restrict westbound traffic to one lane on the Interstate 24 near the 30 mile marker starting Tuesday. Game console stolen during Phelps Avenue burglary

Hopkinsville police are investigating a burglary from Thursday on Phelps Avenue. Force was used to get inside a home in the 1700 block of Phelps between 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., according to the police report, which says a Playstation 4 game console was stolen. No suspects are named.

Lawmakers still awaiting budget compromise

As February comes to a close and the 2021 session of the Kentucky General Assembly is more than halfway over, the session’s top priority—the one-year budget—still hasn’t emerged from a conference committee. Hopkinsville boys fall at McCracken County

The Hopkinsville Tigers lost at McCracken County 69-62. The Tigers were led in scoring by Jamarcus Burks with 15 points while Reese Jesse and Alijah Watts each added 10 as Hopkinsville fell to 3-3. The Mustangs were led by Ian Hart with 29 points in improving to 15-5. The teams meet again Saturday night at Tiger Gym with tipoff at 6:30.
