Shot fired into window of East Ninth St. home

No one was injured when a gunshot was fired into an East Ninth Street home over the weekend. An unknown suspect fired a gun through the front window of a home in the 1300 block of East Ninth, according to the Hopkinsville police report, which says three people live in the residence. None of them were hurt and it’s not known exactly when the shooting occurred.

Kentucky announces 2,803 new COVID cases Sunday

Another 2,803 coronavirus cases were reported Sunday in Kentucky, in addition to 11 more deaths. The governor’s office also reported 1,709 Kentuckians are hospitalized with the virus, 407 are in an ICU, 218 are on a ventilator and the positivity rate is up to 9.24 percent. One injured in Calloway County accident

One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident Sunday morning on Highway 94 in Calloway County. The Calloway County Sheriff’s Office says Jesse Egner was westbound and stopped at a temporary traffic signal. He was rear-ended by another westbound vehicle operated by Nicole Parker. Egner’s passenger, 27-year old Allyson Cordes of Carson City, Nevada, was taken by EMS to Murray-Calloway County Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Fire damages mobile home in Todd County, two dogs killed

Fire caused severe damage to a mobile home near Fairview Sunday and two pets were killed. Firefighters from Fairview and Elkton responded to the home on Amelia Lane about 11 a.m. and were able to quickly extinguish the blaze, according to Todd County Emergency Management Director Daniel Smith. There was extensive smoke and fire damage to the residence and two dogs inside were killed.

Hopkinsville man arrested for felony theft from Walmart

A Hopkinsville man was arrested for felony theft Saturday night after he allegedly stole several expensive items from the Walmart Supercenter. Hopkinsville police say 18-year old Herbert Breneman of Hopkinsville removed a 65 inch television, PlayStation 4, games and DVD’s from the store without paying about 8:30 p.m. He was arrested at a location on Fort Campbell Boulevard and charged with felony theft by unlawful taking.

Four new COVID cases in Todd County, 12 in Trigg

Four new COVID-19 cases were reported Saturday by the Todd County Health Department, while there were 12 new cases between Thursday and Friday in Trigg. Clarksville police are looking for a man sought for aggravated assault after he allegedly rammed an officer’s cruiser to evade arrest Saturday.
