Man charged with rape, sexual abuse of minor

An arrest warrant for rape and sexual abuse was served Monday night against a Hopkinsville man.

It alleges that between 2018 and 2020, 32-year old Dewayne Johns of Hopkinsville sexually abused and raped a young girl on numerous occasions.

Johns also offered the victim beer to drink during the alleged crimes, according to the warrant.

Johns is charged with first-degree rape, sexual abuse and unlawful transaction with a minor. He’s lodged in the Christian County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
