Local agencies are receiving more coronavirus relief funds through the federal CARES Act to help them stay stable during the pandemic.
According to a news release, Pennyrile Allied Community Services will receive approximately $531,000 in funding to go towards operating costs including security and disinfection equipment, electronic ticketing, office equipment and supplies and transit vehicles, among others.
Money is also heading to the Housing Authority of Hopkinsville in the amount of $98,811. So far, the CARES Act has delivered more than $92.6 million for housing and economic development in Kentucky.
