College Football

Former Arkansas football coach Bret Bielema, now an assistant with the New York Giants, has filed a $7 million lawsuit against the Arkansas Razorback Foundation.
The lawsuit, filed Friday, says the foundation that supports Arkansas athletics breached a contractual obligation to pay him about $12 million — the amount of the buyout agreement Bielema signed in January 2018 after he was fired.

NBA

The NBA released further details Friday to teams on its plan to restart its interrupted season in Orlando in late July. Players from the 22 teams that will take part in the restart will begin Covid-19 testing on June 23, with training camps tentatively scheduled to begin July 9 pending agreements with the Walt Disney World complex and the completion of all medical protocols. Games are set to resume July 30 with the playoffs beginning Aug. 17 and the postseason running into mid-October.

NASCAR

NASCAR will run the Dixie Vodka 400 at Homestead-Miami tomorrow. The race that traditionally concluded the season with a champion is now taking place in the summer due to the pandemic. Martin Truex Junior rolls into the race coming off a win at Martinsville.
