Todd County has its first confirmed COVID-19 case.
The patient is a healthy adult, who is visiting Todd County and had been out of the state previously, according to a news release. The adult started showing symptoms on Tuesday and is currently isolated at the home of visitation and has very mild symptoms.
The adult was in contact with less than 5 people and they have been notified and advised to self-quarantine for 14 days.
Todd County Health Department Director Jen Harris says, “I know Todd Countians will step up their social distancing practices to do their part to stop the spread of COVID-19 and protect their neighbors from the harm this virus can cause. In two weeks, we will know how well we have done in our efforts to stop the spread of this virus.”
