Man arrested on burglary warrant

An arrest warrant for burglary was served Friday afternoon against a local man.

The warrant alleges that early Thursday morning, 49-year old Billy Lee Sanders of Hopkinsville went into a carport on Ridgehill Drive and rummaged through an unlocked car. He then allegedly removed sausage, beer and waffles from a refrigerator located under the carport.

Sanders is charged with second-degree burglary.
