A man was killed after his vehicle went off the road and crashed into a church building Friday night in Clarksville.
It happened about 10:30 p.m. and Clarksville police say the 36-year old man was eastbound on Madison Street when his car veered off the roadway for unknown reasons and near the Greenwood Avenue intersection.
The car then crashed into First United Methodist Church on Madison Street in Clarksville and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the man did not appear to be wearing a seat belt and there were no indications of alcohol involvement.
The victim’s name has not been released.
