The Madisonville Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Sunoco gas station Friday night.
According to a news release, two unknown suspects entered the gas station on West Noel Avenue around 11 p.m. and demanded money from the employee inside. One suspect brandished a handgun while the other stole various tobacco products and cash from the cash register.
The subjects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money before police arrived. The employee was not injured. No descriptions of the suspects or photos were available at this time.
