Mark Lindsey resigns as South West Ky. Economic Development Council director

South West Kentucky Economic Development Council Executive Director Mark Lindsey announced his resignation from that position Friday.

According to a news release, it will be effective January 24. The search for a new executive director will begin in the near future for the initiative that is focused on recruiting new business to Christian, Todd, and Trigg counties in Kentucky and helping existing businesses expand.

Lindsey says, “I have thoroughly enjoyed serving the people of Christian, Todd and Trigg counties as the regional economic development director for the past two years. I will miss the relationships that I have formed, but I am excited about my new opportunity in the private sector.”

Board of Directors Chair Lee Conrad says they wish Lindsey well as he enters the private sector and that he has been a great asset to the community.

Lindsey was chosen as executive director in 2017.
