A Paducah resident was killed in an accident over the weekend on Interstate 69 in Hopkins County.
It happened about 7:40 p.m. Saturday near the 107 mile-marker, according to the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department, which says the driver was southbound when their vehicle exited the left side of the highway for unknown reasons.
The vehicle struck a drainage tile and then a light pole, with the driver pronounced dead at the scene.
The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department has not released the name of the victim.
