Ferrell’s hopes to reopen in three months

Hopkinsville’s Ferrell’s Snappy Service hopes to reopen in about three months after a fire that did heavy damage to the iconic restaurant on South Main Street Thursday night.

Owners Phillip and Carolyn Ferrell spoke to WSMV TV at their Madisonville location that reopened last month following a fire in September and said while it’s hard going through the recovery process again, it must be done.

As previously reported, the Hopkinsville Fire Department says the local Ferrell’s sustained heavy smoke and fire damage to the interior from what began as a grease fire on the grill. The building remains structurally sound and no one was injured.

Ferrell’s has been serving up burgers and other favorites in Hopkinsville since the mid 1930’s and has been featured in multiple national and international publications and television shows over the decades.
