Christian County concluded district play with a perfect 6-0 record following a 12-2, 6 inning win over Fort Campbell. Henderson County upset third ranked Christian County 5-2 Wednesday. Hope Jones and Taylor Shemwell had two hits each and Emmy Blane had a home run in the contest. Hannah Sumner took the pitching loss, allowing just one earned run as Christian County committed three errors. The Lady Colonels are now 21-5 on the season.

Baseball: Hopkinsville welcomes University Heights in 8th district action at Tiger Field. Game time is at 5:30 , with the Heritage Bank pregame show at 5:15 pm on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP and online at whopam.com. Murray State fell in midweek action at Southern Illinois 8-3. The Racers return to Ohio Valley Conference action in the first of a three game series at Morehead State Friday afternoon.

The Bowling Green Hot Rods split a doubleheader at the Cedar Rapids Kernels last night, winning game one 3-2 and losing 6-4 in the nightcap. The teams conclude the three game series this evening. The Nashville Sounds fell to the Omaha Storm Chasers 4-1 at First Tennessee Park. The series finishes tonight at 6:35 pm.

The Tennessee Titans are declining the fifth-year contract option for offensive tackle Jack Conklin, meaning he will be a free agent after the coming season. He played just nine games last season due to a knee injury. The Titans drafted Conklin eighth overall in the 2016 NFL Draft.

The horse that was the favorite the Saturday’s Kentucky Derby won't be in the race. Omaha Beach has been scratched from the race due to what's called an entrapped epiglottis. It's a condition that affects cartilage in the horse's airway and can affect the horse's performance. The horse with the best odds is now Game Winner at nine-to-two, followed by Improbable and Roadster at five-to-one.
