At the Ohio Valley Conference tournament at Rent One Ballpark in Marion, IL, UT Martin edged Eastern Illinois 2-1 in a play in game. UT Martin will face Austin Peay at 4 pm today. Meanwhile, Murray State will open the tournament with a 9 am game against Belmont. Princeton native and former Hoptown Hopper Shane Burns will get the pitching start. Burns was also named to the All OVC Freshman team on Tuesday.
At the Southeastern Conference tournament in Hoover, AL, Auburn downed Tennessee 5-3 Tuesday. The Tigers will meet Vanderbilt in second round action at 4:30 pm today.
Western Kentucky begins Conference USA tournament play in Biloxi, MS this evening against Old Dominion.
