HES has scheduled power outage for work Tuesday

Hopkinsville Electric System will be initiating a planned power outage Tuesday evening to allow for necessary maintenance work.

Officials say the outage will begin at 6 p.m. and could last up to four hours in duration. It will affect portions of South Main Street, South Virginia Street, East and West 20th Street and East 21st Street.

HES will be installing system upgrades for increased efficiency and reliability.
