HPD investigating email phishing scheme

Heritage Christian Academy recently became a victim of a phishing scheme.

According to a Hopkinsville Police Department report, someone posed as an HCA employee and sent an email to administrators earlier this month requesting a direct deposit change.

The perpetrator was able to receive about $1,900 of the victim’s wages through the scheme.

The incident remains under investigation.
