Two Southeastern Conference coaches are parting ways with their schools. Vanderbilt announced this morning the firing of coach Bryce Drew after three seasons. The 44-year-old Drew ended the season with a 20 game losing streak, with the Commodores also winless in SEC play and is 1-23 against SEC teams in its last 24 games.
Alabama and coach Avery Johnson are negotiating a buyout of his contract according to AL.com. Johnson signed a four year contract extension in 2017 which includes an $8 million buyout before April 15th. The Crimson Tide was upset by Norfolk State in the first round of the NIT Wednesday night. Johnson was 75-62 in four seasons.
