The 18th-ranked Kentucky Wildcats got their first SEC win after beating Texas A&M 85-74 last night. Tyler Herro scored a team-high 21 points for the Wildcats, with Ashton Hagans adding 18 as Kentucky improved to 11-3 and 1-1 in the SEC. Kentucky plays host to Vanderbilt on Saturday with pregame at 6 pm on Lite Rock 98.7.
Elsewhere in the SEC: Jordan Bowden put up 20 points as third-ranked Tennessee stumped Missouri 87-63 in Columbia. Jordan Bone added 17 points and Kyle Alexander finished with 14 points, 17 rebounds and three blocks. The Vols are now 13-and-1 and visit Florida on Saturday.
Other SEC action saw South Carolina upset 14th ranked Mississippi State 87-82 in overtime and LSU defeated Alabama 88-79.
Tonight’s games: SEC action includes Vanderbilt playing at Georgia. Louisville returns to ACC action tonight at Pittsburgh.
