Reds acquire starting pitcher Roark from Nats

The Cincinnati Reds acquired starting pitcher Tanner Roark from the Washington Nationals for reliever Tanner Rainey in a trade Wednesday. Roark went 9-and-15 with a 4.34 ERA in 30 starts and one relief appearance last season with Washington. The 32-year-old is eligible for arbitration and can became a free agent after the 2019 season. His best season was 2016 when he went 16-and-10 with a 2.83 ERA. He has a 64-and-54 career record with a 3.59 ERA.
