Portion of Gracey-Herndon Road to close Friday

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet intends to close a section of Gracey-Herndon Road Friday starting at 7:15 a.m.

According to a news release, the closure will be near the 12 mile marker to allow for a cross drain to be replaced. The close is along KY 117 between Cox Mill Road and Newstead Road. The road is expected to reopen around 2:30 p.m.

There will be no marked detour, though motorists may self-detour by taking KY 695 or KY 164. Motorists are urged to use appropriate caution where workers and equipment are close to the roadway.
