The first Associated Press polls of the 2018 season were unveiled Monday.
Class 5-A: Christian County is ranked 8th, with Covington Catholic first, Bowling Green and South Warren tied for second, Owensboro is fifth and Apollo is ranked 9th.
Class 4-A: Hopkinsville was among others receiving votes this week, with Franklin Simpson first and Logan County ranked fourth.
Class 3-A: Paducah Tilghman is fifth, Caldwell County is seventh with Boyle County ranked number one.
Class 2-A: Mayfield is ranked first this week.
Class A: Russellville is 11th and Crittenden County 12th with Beechwood first this week.
Class 6-A: Male is ranked number one.
