Kentucky unemployment up slightly last month

Kentucky’s unemployment rate was up slightly from June to July.

The jobless rate came in at 4.3 percent last month, according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics, which says that’s up from the 4.2 percent reported for June.

It was still down seven tenths of a point from the 5 percent recorded for the state in July 2017.

The national jobless rate for July was 3.9 percent, down a tenth of a point from the 4 percent reported in June, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
