The Todd County Central High School Site Based Decision Making Council is searching for a new principal after Jennifer Pope recently accepted a position at the central office.
Pope will serve as Director of Districtwide Services, according to Todd County School System Superintendent Ed Oyler.3
Pope began teaching at Todd County Middle School in 2005, transitioned to the high school in 2012 and was selected as principal in July of 2014.
She says leaving Todd Central brings a mixture of emotions.
In her new capacity, Pope says she’ll work to build on recent successes and address some ongoing challenges.
The Todd Central Site Based Decision Making Council has created an online survey for parents of students who will attend the school this fall asking for input on what criteria they believe should apply when interviewing potential candidates.
Oyler says the district hopes to have a replacement for Pope selected by July 6.
