Koepka wins 2nd US Open in as many years

Brooks Koepka won the U.S. Open for the second straight year after carding a two-under 68 in Sunday’s final round at Shinnecock Hills to win the tournament at one-over-par. He is the seventh back-to-back champion but first since Curtis Strange accomplished the feat in 1988-89.

Tommy Fleetwood tied the U.S. Open record with a seven-under 63 in his final round and finished in second place at two-over. Dustin Johnson was third at plus-three. Louisville area native Justin Thomas tied for 12th at 14 over par while Nashville’s Brandt Snedeker tied for 48th at 16 over.
