Two men have been arrested for allegedly assaulting and robbing a couple last week in Madisonville.
Charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree assault are 37-year old Richard Senay of Paducah and 29-year old Aaron Rice of Madisonville.
Police say the pair walked up behind a man and woman walking on Graves Street about 2:30 p.m. last Wednesday, struck them with clubs and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the male victim.
The female victim was treated for injuries at Baptist Health Hospital and then released. The male was injured, but refused medical treatment.
Both suspects are lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
