Thursday night’s game between the Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves in Atlanta was postponed due to rain. The game will be made up on Thursday, August 30th. This marks the sixth postponement for the Cubs this season, including their second with the Braves.
The Cubs open a weekend series in Cincinnati this evening with air time at 5:40 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP. The Braves continue their home stand enteraining the Miami Marlins.
Carlos Santana hit a solo homer in the fifth inning and the Philadelphia Phillies scored five late runs to break open a tight game in a 6-2 win over the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium. The series continues tonight.
