Hopkinsville Police continue to investigate after a woman was found deceased at the Kings Court Motel on Fort Campbell Boulevard Wednesday morning.
Lieutenant Kyle Spurlin says detectives are treating the death as a homicide until it is ruled otherwise, but an autopsy was scheduled to determine a cause of death.
Officers initially responded to Kings Court after management at the motel called dispatch about an open door to a room that had not been rented. Spurlin says police have not confirmed that a burglary into the room actually occurred.
Investigators were also speaking to occupants of neighboring rooms to gather information.
Kings Court Motel is located just south of the Valvoline Service Center on Fort Campbell Boulevard.
