Woman assaulted during East Ninth St. burglary

A burglary investigation is underway after suspects broke into a Travel Inn room and assaulted the resident Thursday night.

The Hopkinsville Police report says it happened between 8 and 8:30 p.m. at the motel on East Ninth Street when the perpetrators damaged the building wall and door to get inside the room. They assaulted a female victim and then fled the scene.
