HHS principal discusses Marshall Co. tragedy

Hopkinsville High School Principal Todd Marshall says his students are finding ways to show support to Marshall County High School after two students were killed and 18 others were injured in a shooting there Tuesday morning.

Appearing on WHOP Thursday morning, Marshall said Hopkinsville and Christian County fans are encouraged to wear the Marshall County High School colors when the Tigers and Colonels match up in boys’ basketball Saturday night.

The tragedy at Marshall County is a worst nightmare scenario for any school administrator and Marshall says Hopkinsville High takes all steps possible to prepare and train faculty, staff and students for all types of threats and dangers.

Elementary and middle schools reopened in Marshall County Thursday, while the high school remained closed.
