The former Lyon County School System teacher and coach accused of using recording devices in a bathroom to capture video of underage girls will have his case heard by a grand jury.
That’s according to the Lyon County Herald Leader, which reports a district judge determined there was probable cause that a crime had been committed to move forward with the charges against 33-year old Michael Derek McCuiston of Providence after hearing testimony from Detective Lloyd Ray of Kentucky State Police.
McCuiston is charged with five counts of installing an eavesdropping device and additional charges are possible.
The investigation into the alleged incidents began last month when the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department received an anonymous tip regarding McCuiston with specific information.
