It’s officially Rotary Auction season as the 69th annual WHOP Rotary Radio Auction kicked off Tuesday at the club’s weekly meeting.
Trent Haddock is auction chair this year and says the goal for this year—which has the theme of “Grillin’ Up Success”—is $300,000 and the dates have moved back one week in April from its usual time.
Haddock says, since its inception, the Rotary Auction has helped pay the two-year tuition of 691 students to attend Hopkinsville Community College, which is what all proceeds will continue to benefit.
He says hour club donations, which pay for one college credit hour of college courses, will be $174 for those interested in donating that way. The auction will begin on April 22 and last the rest of the week—Monday through Thursday it will be from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m., Friday will be 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Saturday 6 p.m. until everything is gone.
The auction can be heard live on Lite Rock 98.7 FM and can be watch on channel 376 on Spectrum TV.
