Motown at the Museum kicked off a capital campaign for renovations to the Pennyroyal Area Museum building Saturday night and they are already off to a good start.
Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County Executive Director Alissa Keller says the event had already brought in about $10,000 when it began and it was a good opportunity for everyone to get to see how it looks before work begins.
The band ‘Motown Sound’ entertained a large crowd inside the historic building.
A grand opening of the renovated museum is anticipated sometime next year.
