The Cincinnati Reds slugged six home runs in a 14-11 10 inning loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Jesse Winker homered twice for the Reds, who also got dingers from Jonathan India, Joey Votto, Eugenio Suarez and Nick Castellanos. India’s homer was his first of his MLB career and tied the game in the eighth inning. The Reds will look to shake off the loss as they head to St. Louis to open a weekend series with pregame at 6:45 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.
The Chicago Cubs got a walk-off single in the tenth inning to win 4-3 and complete a three-game sweep over the New York Mets. Jason Heyward singled in Javier Baez for the win and the sweep. The Cubs will now face Central Division arch-rival Milwaukee today at Wrigley Field.
Following an off day, the Atlanta Braves welcome the Arizona Diamondbacks to Truist Park for the first of a three game series tonight.
