MLB: Reds lose in extras, Cubs win Thursday

The Cincinnati Reds slugged six home runs in a 14-11 10 inning loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Jesse Winker homered twice for the Reds, who also got dingers from Jonathan India, Joey Votto, Eugenio Suarez and Nick Castellanos. The Chicago Cubs got a walk-off single in the tenth inning to win 4-3 and complete a three-game sweep over the New York Mets. Jason Heyward singled in Javier Baez for the win and the sweep. The Cubs will now face Central Division arch-rival Milwaukee today at Wrigley Field.

Following an off day, the Atlanta Braves welcome the Arizona Diamondbacks to Truist Park for the first of a three game series tonight.
