Todd County Public Schools return to in-person instruction this morning.
The school board there recently voted on today as the return date, instead of after fall break as had been the plan.
Many procedures and guidelines will be in place to keep students, faculty and staff healthy but Todd County Public Health Director Jen Harris says there will almost always be some new COVID-19 cases when folks get together.
She says the school system has gone to great lengths to prevent spread as much as possible.
Harris says it will be a learning experience for everyone.
Students who have been enrolled in Todd COunty’s virtual learning option will remain on that path.
Motorists in Todd County are reminded to slow down in school zones and to be on the lookout for buses stopping to load and unload students.
