The FBI has concluded NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace was not the target of a hate crime after a noose was found in his race garage over the weekend. The racing association released a statement announcing the completion of the investigation at the Talladega Superspeedway. Based on photographic evidence, the pull rope found in Wallace’s garage had been “positioned” there as early as last fall. Wallace has garnered support from members throughout the sport, including Monday when drivers and crew members pushed his car to the starting line prior to a race.
