This won’t be Myron Dossett’s first rodeo, as he has filed his paperwork with the Secretary of State’s Office to seek his 11th term as Representative of the Ninth District.
Dossett is in his 20th year as state representative, representing a portion of Christian County that includes Pembroke, parts of Fort Campbell and southern Christian County and portions of Hopkinsville. Speaking with WHOP Tuesday, Dossett says he’s been honored by the support of his constituents, and he’d be grateful for their consideration once again, saying he intends to fulfill his promise of eliminating the state income tax.
He says he hopes they find his track record to be one that’s shows that he tries his hardest to be honest and fair in everything.
One thing he’s particularly proud of is getting the state employee pension systems fully funded, and he says that shows he’s dedicated to taking care of the people of this state while remaining fiscally responsible.
Representative Dossett has filed to run as a Republican, and as of Tuesday afternoon, he has no opposition on the ballot. The filing deadline for those seeking political office in Kentucky in January 9.
