The District 8 baseball game between University Heights Academy and Fort Campbell on Monday was postponed by rain in the top of the third inning with the Blazers leading 1-0.
UHA scored in the top of the first when Hayden Hunt reached on an error and advanced to second on an error. After stealing third, Hunt scored on a sacrifice fly by Aiden Jones.
The Blazers had loaded the bases with two out in the top of the third when the rain came and forced the postponement of the game. As of Monday evening, it was unknown when the game would resume.
Thomas Hallmark started the game for UHA and struck out three while allowing no baserunners in two innings.
The Blazers are scheduled to play at Heritage Christian Academy today. A win over either the Falcons or the Warriors would lock the Blazers into the No. 2 seed for next week’s District 8 tournament.
