Christian County moved into first place in the District 8 baseball standings with an easy 21-0, three-inning victory over host Heritage Christian Academy on Monday night.
Drew Fincham allowed only two hits to the Warriors.
Meanwhile, Aiden Lewis went 2-for-4 and drove in four runs to lead the Colonels’ 11-hit attack. Sebastian Dazey had a solo home run in the first inning and also had a double in the game.
Christian County (12-10) led 8-0 after one inning and added 10 runs in the top of the second.
Blake Boehman had a pair of hits and Eddie Davis drove in a pair of runs with a double.
Christian County, which improved to 5-1 in district play, added three runs in the top of the third to finish the scoring.
HCA fell to 6-13 overall and 0-6 in district play.
Ethan Miles and Caden Gresham had the only hits for the Warriors.
Christian County returns to action Friday in a District 8 showdown with University Heights Academy at 6 p.m. at Chris Simmons Field. Airtime for the game is 5:45 p.m. on 95.3 The Farm.
HCA is back in action Friday at Livingston Central.
