14-year-old injured in Clarksville crash expected to recover
Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on the area of South Main Street Wednesday.
According to the Madisonville Police Department, the collision occurred around 5 p.m. when a vehicle ran the red-light at the intersection of South Main and McLeod Lane and crashed into another vehicle that had the right-of-way. The operator of the vehicle that allegedly ran the light reportedly fled the scene before police arrived.
Fifty-three-year-old Heather Meggs of Mississippi and 27-year-old Chloe Coyer of Madisonville were transported to Baptist Health Hospital for treatment of injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
