The Salvation Army of Hopkinsville is gearing up for numerous events during the coming months, including the reopening of their soup kitchen for in-person dining.
Lt. Lindsey Galabeas appeared on WHOP Wednesday morning and says they’re very excited to finally be able to let people in to eat at their soup kitchen, after years of only being to-go.
Coming up on May 5 will be their annual Taco Dinner fundraiser, to help raise funds to send local children to summer camp, with tickets $10 each.
Lt. Galabeas says they’re always accepting of donations in good condition, from clothing to bedding to personal hygiene items.
For more information on what the Salvation Army does for those most in need in the community, or to donate to the cause, give them a call at 270-885-9633.
