Today marks 10 years since we lost one of WHOP’s most well-known voices and personalities, as longtime news director Jim Love died December 16, 2012 following a battle with cancer.
Love talked about his tenure and the unique place in the community that WHOP holds during remarks in a 2006 edition of the Early Bird Show.
Love’s legacy lives on in the WHOP newsroom, as many of the policies and ways of operating that he created decades ago continue to this day. He’s also remembered often with the countless stories that can be told by anyone who knew Jim Love.
