Madisonville police made an arrest after a woman was stabbed with a knife Friday afternoon at the Hidden Hills Apartments on Allison Avenue.
It happened just after 4 p.m. and a news release says a 40-year old woman was found with a puncture wound to the left side of the upper-body.
Police provided medical treatment until EMS arrived and she was transported to Baptist Health Hospital for treatment.
The suspect, 49-year old Jeremy Messamore of Madisonville, was on scene and he was arrested and charged with assault in the first-degree.
