Three Todd County Central High School students have been selected to the prestigious Kentucky Governor’s Scholars Program.
Todd Central juniors Logan Cherry, Jose Flores, and Emily Oden were selected for the highly competitive summer Kentucky Governor’s Scholars Program.
The Governor’s Scholars Program originated in 1983 as a competitive but cost-free enrichment program. The goal is to encourage promising young people to understand the potential to enrich their talents and give back to their communities in the Commonwealth. Alumni of the Governor’s Scholars Program are eligible for a wide variety of undergraduate scholarships from private and public schools in Kentucky.
The residential program is held over five weeks on the campuses of Centre College in Danville, Morehead State University in Morehead, and Bellarmine University in Louisville. While on campus for the program, students take in-depth exploratory and inquiry classes, conduct service projects, and participate in clubs, discussions, and lecture sessions.
