HPD investigating robbery at Lafayette Road Circle K

Hopkinsville police are investigating an armed robbery at the Circle K gas station on Lafayette Road from overnight.

Sgt. Alexander Cortez says a man wearing a hoodie and a hat entered the store about 12:30 a.m., showed a male employee a handgun and ordered him to empty the cash register.

The suspect, thought to be a white male, fled in an unknown direction on foot.

No one was injured in the incident and no arrests have been made. Sgt. Cortez says police are continuing to analyze video surveillance as part of the investigation.
