Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are heading to their fourth straight AFC championship game. Kansas City defeated the Buffalo Bills 42-36 in overtime at Arrowhead Stadium. Mahomes threw an eight-yard touchdown pass to Travis Kelce in overtime to clinch the win. Mahomes threw for 378 yards and three touchdowns, ran for a score, and with 13 seconds left in regulation led Kansas City to a game-tying field goal. The Chiefs will host the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday in the AFC Championship Game.
The Los Angeles Rams defeated the defending Super Bowl champs to advance to the NFC championship. Los Angeles avoided a late collapse to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30-27. The Rams dominated the first half and built a 27-3 lead by midway through the third quarter. Tampa Bay stormed back to tie the game at 27-apiece with 42 seconds left. Matthew Stafford drove his team down to the 12-yard line and set up Matt Gay for a 30-yard game winning field goal. The Rams will now square off with the San Francisco 49ers in an all-NFC West conference title game.
